Rod + Angie: A tandem that's tough to beat

Our next couple are big tennis players.  Rod is a tennis coach by profession and  Angie works for Oracle.  But their love for tennis is the one thing that really bonded the two.  We weren't kidding when we said they are big tennis players!  In fact, their inspiration for their wedding decor revolved around the tennis ball ... but that, we'll leave for a later post!  :)

When contemplating on where to have their engagement photo shoot, there was no contest.  We would have the shoot at a tennis court.  Of course we left the choice for the courts up to them since they were the experts!

Our afternoon started at the Bay Club SF Tennis Courts, a posh club with fantastic views of the city.  We then went on to take on the Filbert Steps and capped it off with hot chocolate at Ghirardelli Square.

It was truly an awesome shoot.  Check out this set.  We'll start the score at love-love.

Celebrating Esther

Every story has an end, but in life every end is a new beginning.

This affair was all about new beginnings and was overflowing with love and respect.  A handful of closest family and friends came together for an intimate gathering to celebrate love, life and Esther.

The Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay was the perfect setting for this blissful occasion.  All the details came together, from the spectacular weather, the food presentation, the flowers, the music, the cake, down to the way the table was set, everything was impeccable.  But nothing compared to how absolutely stunning Esther looked that fine day with so much grace and poise. She simply glowed and filled the room with affection and joy.

Thank you for letting us be witnesses to such a special celebration.  And thank you for choosing happiness.

PJ and Mandy Wedding

We have been witnesses to a handful of weddings in the past, but attending an Indian wedding has opened our eyes to another world of festivities. This celebration was such a big event that even being there as vendors, we had a blast!

This was our first time to cover an Indian wedding ... in fact, it was our first time to attend an Indian wedding altogether. And although we tried to read as much as we can and research on what to expect, there was nothing that would prepare us for this. Starting with an amazing Sangeet Thursday night to an elaborate and traditional ceremony Saturday morning capped off by euphoric partying for the reception Saturday evening, this was such a big shindig! Good company, good food, a blend of rich culture and tradition with contemporary good old partying plus a beautiful couple to top it all off, this event was one for the books.

It was truly an honor to be trusted to take photos for PJ and Mandy's wedding, but the bigger honor was to witness the love and celebration of two families coming together. Congratulations to PJ and Mandy! :)

Special thanks to Sami of Sami Syed Photography and Esther Santos for the extra set of hands and talent during the ceremony.
